Let's join the MATSURI festival in ATAMI
One month before the gala days 15th and 16th of July, more than 30 towns of the city begin to prepare for the festival.
Some decorate the floats of traditional wood carving and some create their original floats with full of ideas. Children begin training how to play the flutes or drams and sound gongs by the older guys.
On the festival evening 15th, these floats march down to the square in front of the beach and enter the contest.
One of the towns named Shimizu-cho welcomes the participants from abroad for the parade of floats.
WHY NOT EXPERIENCE SUCH JAPANESE CULTURE DRESSED IN "HAPPY COAT" WITH US!!
Let us know your participants to mail firstname.lastname@example.org by the 5th of July, 2013.
This festival belongs to the ceremony of Kinomiya Shrine.
